Maggie: adoption update

We got our Maggie girl from For Pitties Sake and it has been such an adventure thus far raising her to be a happy healthy pup, we wanted to share an update of her journey with us so far. She loves: tug of war, to snuggle, sniffing out treats via treasure hunts that we make for her, her chew toys, chasing roly poly bugs, meeting new friends, giggly kids, tracking scent trails outdoors, and watching anything involving beagles on the TV (we have even gotten her to watch 30 mins of the fox and hound cartoon with us)! She took a trip to the vet a little earlier than expected due to some allergies we noticed- and although she wasn’t a fan of the big thunderstorm that blew thru town on our car ride there, she loved getting reunited with her litter mate brother at the vets office when another staff member just happened to have adopted him and was working that day. Bath time is a little scary but tolerable, however the hair dryer just is NOT her thing. She immediately knows when human food is being made in the kitchen and so badly wants to know what it’s all about, and makes sure we hear her huffs and puffs and low tone moaning when she can’t get what she wants. Dinner time is so exciting that she had to start learning manners early...and now can sit and follow the “look at me” command like a champ, but her little body shakes with excitement the entire time. To our surprise, we only can get a bark or two out of her during special play sessions of “big dog little dog” on the floor (my husband pretends he’s a big dog wrestling around with her and she loves it) haha. She is SO smart and learns so quickly! We love her immensely. Here are some pictures of her the last few weeks since welcoming her home!
